Programs
Rigorous Curriculum
All students are provided with rigorous curriculum which is based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Qualified students in 1st through 8th grade have the opportunity to take an accelerated program of study. Students are placed in accelerated courses using multiple measures including teacher recommendation, achievement report grades, and district/state test data.
Gifted and Talented Education
Our Gifted And Talented Education (GATE) program begins with a standards-based core curriculum. Teachers utilize Acceleration/Pacing, Depth, Complexity, and Novelty to provide appropriate differentiated challenges. We offer Accelerated Courses in ELA, Math/Algebra, History, and Science.
Electives
Marshall offers many electives that allow students to shine using their talents. Our robust music program allows beginning students to learn an instrument and advanced students can join jazz band and advanced orchestra. We offer art, digital art, robotics, science electives, dance, and many other electives that enable students to shine and have fun here at Marshall.
